Goldfinch Cyclery and Iowa Running Company have one of the biggest Black Friday deals OUT there every year. Join us as we lock our doors for the 5th Annual OutDoor Buster 5K/10K and 15-mile bike ride out at the Sac & Fox Trail. Our purpose is simple. Be outside with your friends and family consuming only fresh air and good times. The only line you'll be standing in on Black Friday will be for the porta-potty.
This day has been and will always continue to be free. However, if you have a few extra bucks to give this holiday season, we ask you to pay it forward to our friends at Groundswell Cafe.
Curious on why we are asking you to donate to a cafe? Suppose you haven't heard of Groundswell Cafe. In that case, they are an initiative of Cedar Rapids nonprofit organization Matthew 25. The cafe is a pay-it-forward eatery whose mission is to provide a place where everyone has access to fresh, healthy food, regardless of their ability to pay. Your contributions will allow others in need to enjoy a good meal or that same baked good we'll have waiting for you at the end of your run or ride.

Run Course Details
Sac and Fox Trail is a soft crushed limestone trail typically in good shape. However, conditions can vary depending on the weather, so plan accordingly with your tread.
This is not a timed or perfectly measured course. The 5Kish loop will be marked at the turnaround point, but you are welcome to go further. This is a low-key have, fun kind of run.

Post Party
In typical fashion, we'll be supplying a few refreshments for all of you, including cinnamon rolls from our friends at Groundswell Cafe and coffee from Roasters.
Waiver
As much as we dislike paperwork, there are rules we must follow. If you can bring a signed copy of the waiver on Friday, we would greatly appreciate you. If not, we will have copies for you to sign when you show up.
2022 OUTDOOR BUSTER CANCELLED
We are sad to announce that the 2022 OutDoor Buster has been canceled. With the latest thaw, Sac n Fox is a sloppy mess and not conducive to riding or running. We still encourage everyone to opt outside and soak up the fresh air.
